Ways to Make Your Store Sign Stand Out

A catchy store sign can be a great way to let passerbys know about your store. If your store sign is eye-catching, motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians who otherwise were not looking for your store may see it and decide to stop in. However, with so many store signs, it can be hard to make your store sign stand out. My name is Michael and I am a graphic designer. While I don't make store signs for my customers yet, I do love to help them come up with unique and creative images and lettering. And one day I hope to help store signs. If you are looking for a sign for your store, I hope some of the tips I give will help you learn how to make a store sign that will stand out.

How To Control Dust On A Construction Site

When you are working on a construction site, there is always the risk of dust pollution. However, there are some situations where the dust can be too much. Luckily, there are several different dust control measures available. Here are the top ways to control dust on any type of construction site.

Use Mulch and Vegetation

The first way you can control dust is by using mulch and vegetation. Certain construction projects last a long time, and that is necessary when using mulch to control dust. The most frustrating part about this method is that you need to water the vegetation and mulch regularly. However, it is very useful in many different scenarios. It also helps reduce a lot of wind erosion. If you decide to use this method, consider hydroseeding in addition to it.

Water

One of the most common ways to control dust on construction sites is with plain water. The reason it is used so much is because it is easy to gain access to the water you need, and it's effective. It can be time consuming, however, since you need to apply the water multiple times a day. The current atmosphere and climate conditions will determine how often you need to apply water to the area where dust pollution is an issue. Using a water truck is usually the preferred way to use this method, especially on large construction sites.

Soil Stabilizers

If you want to reduce soil erosion while also controlling dust on the construction site, you can try using a soil stabilizer. One of the best methods is with a fiber-to-seed soil bond. This will provide dust control without hardening the soil or requiring any re-seeding. The polymer material in the soil stabilizer has the ability to absorb the water, which then circulates a tackifier back into the solution. You will have a new sealing material over the soil, which provides maximum dust control.

Tilling

The last option you might want to use for controlling dust is with the tillage method. This is done using plows on exposed soil on the construction site. You want to find the windy side of the construction site and start tilling on that side. It should only be done on flat areas, so you will need to use an alternative method on any areas that are not completely flat. Tillage helps reduce soil losses and can roughen the soil.
